Ride for RHS – Memorial Day 2017

New RHS Fundraising Event: Memorial Day “Ride 4 RHS!” Monday, May 29 2017

“Ride 4 RHS” is our new fundraiser! This event perpetuates the tradition of cycling the Pinellas Trail to raise funds for RHS begun by Steve Edwards when he cycled solo the entire 47 miles of the Pinellas Trail on Memorial Day 2016.

For more information, please contact: Steve Edwards or Jo Brower, cell: (727) 580-6547

We are excited to welcome you to help raise funds for our RHS mission in supporting our local active military, vets, wounded heroes, first responders and our families of the fallen with a fun bike ride along the Pinellas Trail.

Choose from two out-and-back routes: 16.4 miles or  36.4 miles! Both loops begin at Demons Landing in downtown St. Pete — the shorter route goes to Tyrone Square Mall (Cobb Theater) and back, and the second, longer option, goes to Taylor Park and back. Suggested arrival time at Demens Landing is 7.15am (7.30am at the latest). Riders of both routes depart together promptly at 8am. After the ride, mix and mingle with your fellow patriot cyclists for post-ride refreshments and a sandwich provided by Jimmy John’s!

There are several ways to get involved. You can pledge to ride for $35 and receive a great RHS Never Forget lapel pin, or create a team and seek additional donations which you can register through the website. If you can’t attend, or don’t wish to cycle, we welcome you to Sponsor a Hero in honor of Memorial Day and in support of the event.

Riders – please note: you are responsible for your own safety on the ride. You are riding at your own risk. We recommend all safety equipment and proper cycling behavior. Safety first!

Together, we are making a difference one local Hero at a time!

Thank you to Jimmy John’s for providing lunch for our riders!

You can Remember, Honor and Support our local heroes year-round by donating to RHS. Thank you!
